Engine Block Drain

Is there a way to drain the coolant out of the main engine block. I would think there should be a bolt into the coolant passages somewhere on the block but I can find it. If there is a way to drain the block what is the procedure? Thanks folks for your help.

Under the exhaust manifold in the middle of the block is a coolant drain bolt or petcock depending on year.
