More progress
Re: More progress
Brady i know spray paint looks alot better but with hot parts and brake fluid parts i have found the rust-o-leum paint on enamel hold up alot better over time
Re: More progress
I plan on being at 2012 FFO with the car even if the car isn't completely done.
I'm still waiting for the radiator, header, overflow bottle to arrive.
I used Dupli-color engine enamel with ceramic on the master cylinder. It's the same color as the block. I guess it looks all right.
It might have been nicer black. If the paint doesn't hold up, I'll paint it black the next time I change my fluid in the system. Right now it's still dry.

Re: More progress
Brady,
Thanks again for the spoiler......I feel your pain, I have been working on mine for over a year and it's not even in the same league as yours. I see that tou changed out the starter and distributer with , I am assuming, Mark Allisons. I am looking to go the same route, was it an easy install?, good directions?

Re: More progress
Hey, Jim. I certainly didn't think you were being critical. I think your question was a good one - particularly for anyone contemplating the kind of project Brady has taken on. I suspect all of the issues - time available, money, skill, desired quality and motivation are potentially huge factors. Having watched Brady's progress through his regular updates demonstrates this very well. His "more progress" thread provides an excellent guide for all of these things.

Re: More progress
Hi Guys,
Talking about the restoration. It is a tedious job. Especially since I'm so anal. LOL
I spent so many hours on this car. Too many to count. I look back and think, it better be worth it. I took a lot of time away from my family and appreciate their support and understanding. I do love these cars. This car has so many custom items on it. Within the time I started working on it, I haven't stopped except for making heat shields, spoilers, seat belt guides, and wind screens. I do get burnt out once in a while. But that doesn't last long. When you see it at FFO 2012, you'll understand.
Money is a big factor which delayed a lot of things. I can't complain though. I have all the bells and whistles. You could buy three cars for what I have in this one. I can't remember how I got the money. If I have learned one from this, it would have to be I love to fabricate. I know a lot of pic's on here get deleted for some reason. Here is my link to a quick before and after album. Thanks for the support all. If I can help anyone out, feel free to ask. I love to share ideas.
