Dipstick bottom seal leaks
Dipstick bottom seal leaks
Does anyone sell a gasket for the lower part of the dipstick. I've tried rtv silicone and a diy rubber gasket but it still leaks. Any other alternatives to get it to seal?

AFAIK the lower seal is NLA. I had success with putting silicone on the block, letting it dry, and then installing the dipstick tube.

Re: Dipstick bottom seal leaks
Another forum member told me to put a layer of heat shrink tubing on the dipstick before sliding on the new dipstick seal. I did it and the oil leak is gone. I'm sure you can do the same thing with your existing seal.
Re: Dipstick bottom seal leaks
Adam what gauge heat shrink did you use? I am having the same issue and am looking for a fix. Let me know what gauge you got my oil is leaking marginally but still!
Thanks!
