when i press on the break pedal my driver front brake caliper make a banging sound. In the pedal it feels like a delay. Could there be a problem with the brake caliper or air in the line?

air in the line you would feel as if you had no brakes. sounds to me there is a bolt not tight causing the caliper to shift

yes the banding sound is a sticking caliper
if its the caliper itself then it needs a rebuild
but if its sticky slides then just lub it all up when reassebly

Could also be the brake booster. I had a similar problem that went away after replacing the booster.
