I won't notice the difference though. I only drove it three miles before complete tear down.
bwilson27 wrote:What year is the engine, Brady? Did you go through it at all? I'm not sure If I've seen you mention it getting a rebuild.
Talking with Jason Miller. He suggests I drill the hole for the alternator bracket and keep it on the drivers side.
I was told this engine was rebuilt by the PO. I'm finding out he just got it running. I don't think this engine is from a 124.
I know it's an early one having 10mm flywheel bolts. It did run good at purchase. I just hope to get a year out of it. Then I'll do a total rebuild.

I've actually haven't sat in it at all. I don't have a completed seat. Boy if I did though.
Of course I'm going to drive it. It's not going to be a trailer queen. Once it's on the road, I'm going to have a hard staying out of it. :P

I had to make a custom clip to make the lower grill centered. It came out good though.

I finished the front hubs today. Boy it was easy. I tapped out the old. Cut a slit into the races. I used my press for the first time putting the old on top to press the new in all the way. The old one came out without prying them. New Bearings and seals. Now all I have to do is put the front shocks on. Finish installing the brakes and wheels. :P

I went to put on the front shocks today. I have the Koni yellows and IAP lower control arms. The shocks won't fit in through the bottom of the control arm. Figures nothing is easy. Trying to put the shock in, I took off some paint. :x
I thought about sanding a little bit of the shock so it will fit. I think I'll just put a chain around the spring after jacking it up and slide the shock into position. What do you all think?

it sounds like your bottom shock mount might be squished in
if its not then give one a litte nudge. its should go right thru.
and the mount slightly frim fit, enuff to hold its self in place.joe
