disconnect of reservoir

Post by mik »

I disconnected the reservoir and found that I have a minimum drip from the radiator cap, do I need to replace the cap?
Thank you, Mik

Was the car at operating temperature? The cap is designed to release coolant to the resevoir as it expands as it heats up.

Car was cool, the minor drip was coming from the radiator cap itself. Thanks for the response.
