Does anybody use a spreadsheet or database for tracking their maintenance requirements? Before I set about doing it, I'm checking here first to see if anyone already created one and would be willing to share.
What I'm thinking of creating is a spreadsheet where I input once a month or so the date/mileage of the car. As certain mile limits are passed, or dates, the spreadsheet would highlight for me which tasks need to be done now. The highlights would be 'pre-programmed' in by me to trigger every X,000 miles or whatever. With four cars in the house, this would help me not forget maintenance.

Re: maintenance reminder spreadsheet
I've done this for many years. Like you say it's easy to lose track.
What I use is an excel spreadsheet that includes date mileage, the service, service provider, and then amount...a separate one for each vehicle. It doesn't have pop-up reminders, so I check them regularly to see what's coming up. Each spreadsheet is the front page of my vehicle history binder that includes all the receipts etc.
They are also very valuable when selling a vehicle.
