Excessive sealant

I was told to look for that when I told my buddies about the PO using sealant to help with the oil pan. I was lucky there wasn't any on the oil pump screen. Wow that was clogged.

Surprisingly enough, it wiped right off with a paper towel. But it obviously must have been slowing down the oil flow.
No metal flakes in there, though, so that's a plus.
