handbrake trouble

I can not get my handbrake to activate the rear calipers. I've slacked up the cable at the center pull and re adjusted it,but
still can not get the them to work. Any tips?

See if they work by moving the arm at the brake caliper. They may be froze. If they do, then check to see if the cable moves in the line. I've seen the brake cable be melted by the exhaust. Check that too.
