I purchased a handle and the metal ends, but got no screws from the seller. Can anyone remove one of the screws, and
let me know if they are machine screws, with length and size, or if they are sheet metal screws, again with length, and
size please.
thanks.

If there's a thread in the hole, I don't want to strip it. Screws are sized like # 6, 8, etc by diameter, and threads per inch.
I'm not up on the metric sizes, but is someone posts them, I can go get what is suggested.

The screws are Phillips semi-round head, zinc coated, self-tapping, 5 mm diameter (outside of threads), 16 mm shank, coarse thread. A good fastener specialty shop should have them. Good luck!

Thanks Peter.
If they're self tapping sheet metal screws, I can put anything in there that will hold. I'm sure I've got something here
around the shop.

I used stainless, # 12 sheetmetal screws x 3/4" long. They did the trick. the head is a bit large, and # 10's might have
worked. Anyone else doing this should try a # 10 first.

If you ever have to replace a Spider convertible top, it is a great opportunity to fix this weakness by welding in nutplates for these two fasteners. M5 cap screws won't strip out.
