I'd suggest looking for a second opinion on the fact that the shop could not bring the car into spec. Either the sheet metal
is fatigued to the point where you probably should not drive the car, or these guys should be able to get it in spec without
changing the springs. Possible your lower A arms are bent and should be replaced.

Re: Noisy clutch return spring on pedal
Good advice,
Lower A-arms were replaced and all new bushings and tie rods were replaced. Our local Fiat shop does not get into suspensions so I will have to look around.
Best regards,
\Greg

Re: Noisy clutch return spring on pedal
I bought a can of spray lithium with the nozzle insert wand. While the car was jacked up, I sprayed the exterior spring, then got inside the car. (much easier with the car on jack stands about 20" high). I was able with ease to spray the clutch spring,
pivot on the pedal shaft, cable hook on pedal, and tube through firewall where clutch cable runs. Also both ends of where the spring attaches and after a bit of pumping the pedal spraying with pedal down, and in all positions, noise is gone!
I also sprayed the rounded nut on the throw out arm.
Next up, replace the horn relay. Took it out today and opened it up. Works fine when I activate the points by hand. Not enough
juice getting to the solenoid, and me thinks it's the coil winding itself.
look for the next thread on fixing the horn.
