I love your interpretation of the spider. It's so awesome!...and the best quality workmanship.
If there is one criticism it would be...why the coffee can size farter?
Even the Abarth exhaust was smaller. Maybe it's because I'm old, but that one to me looks unclassy...unlike the rest of your build. A pair of 3" would look far better IMO of course.

I know what your saying. I didn't think it would look so big. Maybe when the trunk is on, it will look somewhat smaller.
I have it now and it can't be returned. It's been sitting in the basement waiting to be put on. It has a 4" tip on it.
This is where knowledge pays off. Sometimes it takes a mistake or two before you realize what you should have done.
Maybe it would look better if it was pushed in more with the edge even with the fender.

I have to agree that a smaller tip would look better. You don't want an over-sized tip blocking the view of that great looking stainless muffler .
You could just have a good muffler shop put on a different stainless tip (2.5 or 3 inch). Should be pretty cheap.

I had to rework the muffler to get it to hang right underneath. I had to make another bracket close to the tip. I won't have it on the car till next week. But I did push it in more toward the front making the back even with the fender and I think it looks great. It doesn't look as overwhelming as the other pic sticking out so much. It just had to find it's place.
It does fit the curve for the muffler perfectly. Just for others sake, if your going to purchase a new muffler, a 3" would look just perfect. Anyways kids, , don't try this at home.

I really appreciate everyone's opinions. This is the reason I post all my pic's and show what I've done. I like to at least get something out of my trial and errors. If it helps someone else see their vision or gets them to realize what they like or dislike, it's an added bonus. If it weren't for others showing what they've done, boy I'd be lost.

I love the single tip; Spiders with the duals just look funny. Are you running with only one muffler? I have one 4" round magnaflow installed where the original resonators and a 5x9 magnaflow at the rear with the 3" resonator tip attached all with 2-1/4" piping form the header. Sounds awesome!

I'm running stainless all the way back from Socal Mark's header. I have a magnaflow 4" resonator before the muffler.
I wonder if I can put the resonator where the cat was located

Don't see any reason a resonator can't be put where the CAT was. Very similar on my 82. Vicks Exhaust to straight 2.25 with a resonator where the CAT was to a custom muffler and single point tip. Sounds great. The resonator really comes in around 3000 RPM's for the car to have a nice low tone. no drone!

I made the bracket for the rear of the exhaust and was able to take of pic of how it will sit.
