Timing my Spider

When using a timing light to time my 1980, carbed Spider, do I clip the light to #1 or #4, and should the Vacuum advance be disconected

It doesn't matter, if you're only checking the ignition timing on the crank. You have to use #4 if you want to put the light on the cam pointers to check the cam timing.

disconnect the vac advance from the distrib. and plug it-golf tee's work well for this PB
