I have a couple of small rust holes in my oil sump and am a little reluctant to go through the engine jacking process to remove the sump if I can clean it up and repair it. Anybody have experience or advice using JB Weld to do this type of repair?
Advice appreciated
Oil Sump repair with JB Weld?
Re: Oil Sump repair with JB Weld?
I plugged a small leak with it, drain the oil and let it drip a while. use brake cleaner to get the surface clean and don't use the JB weld in tubes, by the roll of putty, they sell it for fixing gas tank leaks. PB
