Getting another spider

Post by greggl »

Its been a while.. I drove a carb'd 1980 for nearly a decade and have
been without a spider for the past 7 years... its time to get another one!

Been trying to track down a good basis car for a rolling resoration/custom
workup here in Los Angeles. I've seen a fair share of pre-1975's in
the last two months and I'm still looking for the right one. The smog
exempt cars seem to be like hens teeth out here lately!

Mark's got one that I'm going to take a look at once its rolling :)

I think I've seen every 75 or earlier spider posted on Craigslist in
the past 6 months... most of em have been basket cases. She's out
there though :)

Just an update... I bought the '72 that Mark put back on the road :)

Already deep into my refurbishment, she's back up at Mark's place
to have some additional work done. I'm having a blast with it.

My 4 year old refers to the car as my 'hot wheels'... doesn't get
much better than that :)
