I have problem whit my AFM and i don't know what to do. By a new AFM for $600 or the new system for $2000.

Buy a used AFM which has to be less than new one and certainly less than a whole new system.

Did you call Vic for some tec support? If your afm is bad pick up a used one that's been tested on a running spider. George

I have the new FI system in my car. Works great. However, I'm not sure I would recommend for a stock car. If you have performance cams or other mods the programmable FI will help. If you are stock I really don't see the need.

I will try this trick for now.

But insted of adding the black wire like he did, i will only put dielectric grease on all 4 connectors end because i think that the wire can affect the force needed to open the flap.

And my engine will have 4MM dome pistons from Vick, big valves and spring and 40/80 cam from IAP.

But to they change the rheostat on a remanufactured one? Or they just clean it? Because that's the parts that wear out.

Are you talking about the sweep of the reostat in the AFM? The Vics system does not measure using an AFM in my car? at least it does not on the set up on my car. It sounds like you have the same type of set up I have on my 82 except for the FI system. The FI system has some limtations around 6000 RPM's and I think that is because of the Throttle Body design. The mechanicals are straighforward, I'm still learning a ton about FI. Have a dyno sheet showing 138.4 HP to the rear wheels. That puts this FI car at almost 160 HP at the flywheel.

With that said, there are a lot of proven outstanding perfomance examples using dual carb. For a modified engine like yours the Vicks option is a good one. The have a great base MAP for you to start.
