Is it possible to test a caddy?

Post by greenharoguy5 »

Goodmorning all,

I was wondering if it is possible to bench test a caddy, or test it without
going and paying money to a smog shop. I am reworking my exhaust, and the caddy
was accidentally left outside in the rain for a couple days, and water got in
it. The exhaust smells the same as usual, and Im not seeing any color, so I
think its good, but Id rather find out before going in and getting it smogged.
Thanks everyone!

take it to a shop with a 4 or 5 gas analyzer. water is a large byproduct of combustion (make your own assumptions)

ps. there are no d's in either the words catalytic or converter

I tested a Caddy once; Real nice ride. that Northstar V8 made all the right noises too. But ultimately, it was an old-man's car.
I don't see why they wouldn't let you trest one, even if it WAS left out in the rain.

I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
