I'm on the hunt for a nicer Spider to replace my very rusty 80. I look forward to using this site as a resource to help find and maintain my new ride.

Welcome! What year Spider are you looking for and how far are you willing to travel? What part of North Carolina are you from? I'm near Winston-Salem.

thanks for the nice replies. i'm in durham nc, so not too far at all to winston. i'm looking for an 80 or newer w/fuel injection. i like the driveablity factor of the injected cars since my wife will also drive it often. i'm willing to travel for the right car. looking for straight and rust free as possible. no time for a major project right now!

as for what i'll do with my 80.... i'm going to hang on to it til we find the new one, and use it for parts to help get the new car sorted. i'll probably part out what's left after that.
