Re: Choose...............
Simple choice, that Alfa's cool, but the Fiat outclasses it.
So I don't understand what they are saying but I take it that is suppose to be a 1966ish?
I noticed there is no center or radio console & it has a small bump hood, I'm confused?!?!?

1966 is what they said.
Re: Choose...............
The Fiat is missing the trip reset from the dash and has the plastic chrome bezels around the guages.

Not sure about that grille, either. And it looks like a counterfeit Michigan Short Shifter! Sacrebleu!
Of course we're partial to the Fiat, but it seems the show's guest picked the Alfa. One thing's for sure, the boat tail is worth ten times more than the Spider

They say that bot car are very light compare to today cabriolet. He said that it's like driving on a cloud. It pay to be a french canadian sometimes lolll!!!!
Re: Choose...............
Yep,
And he also says that the early spider is worth around 10000 Euros and that the alfa 12000 Euros. Now keep in mind that it is in Europe where thoses cars are harder to find. That´s why I imported mine from the US in 1994. But I don't plan on selling it.

Re: Choose...............
Wow, love that Alfa! Its funny though, I thought the Alfa would have a better appointed interior, the FIAT looks much more fine. I enjoyed that

Re: Choose...............
I like the torpedo looks of the Alfa much better than the 124. Mostly because I think of the Fiat rear-end as kind of ugly, although I think it is similar to a Ferrari rear-end from the 1950 or early 1960s.
The big surprise for me was how boring the Alfa dash was.

You guys need to freshen up on your Fiat Spider history. The car in the video is a 1967 which also happens to be the first year they were sold in Europe. The car was first introduced at the Turin Auto show in 1966. In 1968 they were brought to the states. In 1967 they did not come with a lower center console, it was just covered with carpet. The heater controls were under the dash and the gauges have real chrome bezels, not cheap plastic covers. The chrome gauges came on cars till 1969. The one thing that is not original to that car is the small bump hood.

Re: Choose...............
The Spider must be far better than the Alfa. Just watch the video, and you will see the Fiat is left hand drive in some shots and right hand in others. Now tat is a great design. We should all be proud. Can't wait to get home and see how this is done!!!
