79 distributor with 32 adf help and question

I have a 78 fiat want to put the electronic distributor on the car and coil set up that I have left from my 79 I have not yet at this time replaced the stock carburetor what do I do about the vacuum pump on the distributor or can I make this work?or am I going to have to do some thing different entirely Thanks Paul
