Won't idle
Re: Won't idle
I've tried adjusting both. The car idles just fine with the choke closed. As soon as it starts to open the engine starts to die. If I play with the choke, I can maintain idle.

Re: Won't idle
It sounds like it's running lean. It could be a vacuum leak, but it's far more likely to be a vacuum hose rather than the intake manifold. Or it could be something in the carb got obstructed.

Re: Won't idle
New info. I started the fiat and as it warmed up and the choke began to open it wanted to die again. I unscrewed the idle solenoid just a little bit, about 10 or 20 degrees worth, and the idle picked right up. I had checked it earlier and it made a clicking noise when I removed the wire and reattached it. Can this thing go bad but still make the click sound when tested?
Re: Won't idle
If it is the problem, where can I get an idle solenoid? I looked at advanced auto online and they don't seem to have it.
Re: Won't idle
if it's clicking the jet on the end is probably plugged. That's why I told you to loosen it in an earlier post
