I serviced the differential on my '78 Spider today. I decided to start the car and put it in gear to run for a while, then re-top the fluid.
I put it in second gear. When I got out of the car, the left wheel was spinning as expected, but the right wheel was starting and stopping and spinning at nowhere near the speed of the left wheel. Is my rear end toasted, or is this normal? It sure doesn't seem normal to me.
