I can't access the message from the site owner. I get this message "You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum". What does it say?

So tell me about this "active topics" button. It sounds interesting, but I don't see it.

Bruce, if you go to the "board index" page, you will see a time (and date) near the upper left. Directly below that is a line that has three options, the third one being "view active topics". Click on that and it gives you a page with a list of the most recent postings (most recent being at the top of the page), regardless of the category of topic. It is the easiest way to stay totally up to date with the postings, across the entire forum.

In fact, that is the only page of topics that I tend to look at, because it always shows you what is "happening" right now and most recently. In fact, I refresh that page (or simply go back to it, if you navigate away) frequently, so I can see the latest posting (on any topic). The site is so active lately, that a new posting happens every few minutes at most
