Door Hinge Strap

Can someone post a picture of how the door hinge strap fits on a door? I am feeling a little stupid, but I can't figure it out.

The hinge strap should have little threded inserts in the end opposite to what Denise's pic shows ( if my memory seves) A couple of small bolts will attatch the strap accordingly.
